Green Gas is the propellant typically used to drive the gas blow back Airsoft guns, consisting of propane with silicone oil added. Some brands may advertise their product as Green Gas, or refer to as "ultra green gas", the "Xtreme gas" or similar green, when in fact the engine is not gas / propane green. The products advertised as being more powerful than green gas Gas are typically red, correctly known as HCFC-22. The green gas is produced by manufacturers of airsoft. Players in cooler climates often prefer to use green because HFC134a gas may be insufficient to cycle guns in cooler temperatures. A weapon firing the green gas has more energy than one with HFC134a, and therefore should be used with caution as it can damage the weapons are not designed to handle the additional power. Generally, guns made in Japan can not handle green gas in its common form, because Japanese law, which prohibits the use of slides in metal, plastic slide can be replaced by a metal sometimes an aftermarket but depending on the model, other parts aftermarket improvement may also be required. After investigating the characteristics of green gas, was determined by Carlton Chong of Airsoft Innovations that Green Gas is propane with silicone oil added. Since green gas propellant is propane, some airsofters are increasing the economy of consuming the propellant bottles using consumer available propane originally used to fuel stoves, lanterns, barbecues and camping welding torches. To provide compatibility between guns airsoft gas blow back and plug the bottle of propane, a propane bottle adapter, produced by Airsoft Innovations, should be used and the silicone lubricant needs to be dropped on each tank valve 8-10 fills the compartment (in the case of a firearm blowback). At least use the propane is not recommended for weapons with no metal internal parts because propane adds more power and can destroy the gun. If propane is used in a full metal gun remember that propane does not have silicone lubricate the weapon as well as for green gas guns blowback is important that he is well lubricated. If it is not the weapon it does not slip behind luricated as easy and damage the gun.
