SCAR has been designed to meet the specific needs of the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), the Special Operations Command U.S. Army, for which the XM8, which is expected to become the standard rifle of the U.S. Army insufficient. The SOCOM is seeking a weapon that can be converted on the ground for several sizes to provide its troops to a weapons system to handle the same simplifying maintenance and logistics but nonetheless perfectly adapted to different missions. SCAR should thus be provided in two versions, the SCAR-L (light), which is chambered in 5.56 NATO and SCAR-H (Heavy) which is chambered in 7.62 NATO. SCAR-H will also be available in a version chambered for the 7.6239mm, the ammunition of AK-47 and will receive its cartridge. That in order to allow troops operating behind enemy lines to use the ammunition available. Upon receipt of the package, print quality and high-end product arises.
