Paintball is a Spanish film, directed by Daniel Benmayor and produced by the production company Filmax Spanish (ECN, The Prey). It includes: Brendan Mackey, Robert Maskell, Patrick Regis (actors unknown to the battalion for me ...). A group of 8 players to play together in the Know is a game of paintball illegal size. They do not know, but have several things in common: they are young, sports enthusiasts and thrill seekers. They are released in a forest, with a survival kit. Their mission: to reach the rendezvous point before the other team and a weekend. But things quickly derailed when a participant receives a real ball. The rules have changed: only the fittest account, and the goal is to survive ... (which reminds me of a Battle Royale). I find the idea quite original film and place of horror and action paintball. It's a game that involves killing off one by one the film's protagonists. Even if the scenario is hardly innovative, the film is well paced and happens to capture our attention from beginning to end. We are immediately immersed in the manhunt in the heart of the forest and the voltage changes crescendo. In paintball, the scenes filmed with a handheld camera build an atmosphere of uncertainty and give us the feeling of being hunted, like other players. Other plans allow us to place ourselves in the shoes of the killer: visions of massacres during heat (a little too present for my taste), observing from afar, hiding in a bush .... As in all horror films, murder will follow fairly quickly. But Paintball innovates with thermal vision camera executioner who gives the blood a white and strange. However, it is hard to know who the different characters. With a mask often placed on the head, we can not distinguish them. And this is not the dialogue that can help us .... I also find that the killing of the characters are not gore: it is either off screen or negative views through the Infra-red. There is virtually no hemoglobin which appears on the screen!. Even if I did not fully hooked, I still jumped several times and had some good adrenaline rush.
